Indian Captain Rohit Sharma added his name in Elite Book Records by becoming 2nd Captain in ODI History while playing Final against New Zealand in ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

Rohit Sharma join former West Indies captain Brian Lara and Netherlands captain Peter Borren in the record books for most consecutive tosses lost by a captain in ODIs. 

Most consecutive tosses lost by a captain in ODIs:

1. 12 Brian Lara (Oct 1998 - May 1999)
2. 11 Peter Borren/Rohit Sharma (Mar 2011 - Aug 2013)/(Nov 2023 - Mar 2025)
